ISO/IEC 17025:2005 accreditation attained by the SINT Technology laboratory

SINT Technology’s laboratory was accredited by SINAL (“National System for the Accreditation of Laboratories”) on 25 February 2009 with Certificate no. 0910.

The list of tests for which the laboratory is accredited may be consulted on SINAL’s official site (www.sinal.it/eng/index.htm). The tests concern the sectors of strain gage measurement, residual stress, vibration, modal analysis and acoustics.

SINAL accreditation:

– testifies the technical competence of the staff, use of the right instrumentation, the impartiality of the testing engineers and of the laboratory’s technical assessments;

– testifies the organization complies with the management and technical requirements under standard UNI CEI EN ISO/IEC 17025;

– is recognized:

* in all the member countries of the European Union and EFTA under the (MLA) agreement for mutual recognition signed between SINAL and the other accreditation bodies belonging to the EA (European Co-operation for
Accreditation) association.
* worldwide under the multilateral international agreement for mutual recognition (ILAC arrangement) signed between SINAL and the accreditation bodies belonging to ILAC (International Laboratory
Accreditation Cooperation).

Accreditation is a voluntary decision of testing laboratories, calibration centers and certification bodies which want to demonstrate at international level that they work with skill and professionalism in accordance with the principles of sound procedures, independence, impartiality and integrity.

Any laboratory accredited to Standard UNI CEI EN ISO/IEC 17025 (SINAL) is judged both on the basis of its Quality System and for its technical competence in relation to specific tests. An ISO 9001 certified business is judged only on its Quality System.
